## Two motions, one platform

Step 1

### Schedule cash games and tournaments side by side

Cash games get a start time, game type, and stakes. Tournaments get a blind structure, level length, and player cap. Both live in one schedule view so your staff sees the night at a glance. Save templates for the games you run every week, so opening the schedule on Wednesday morning takes a minute, not an hour.

Step 2

### Fill cash-game seats from the waitlist

The waitlist orders players first-come, first-served. Players can add themselves from your website, or the host can add them manually from the admin. When a seat opens, the host pages the top player however your room prefers: a phone call, a text from the floor, or a one-click SMS from the admin if you have the SMS add-on. If the top player has stepped out, the host can skip to the next available person with one action. No clipboard, no "who's next?" disputes.

Step 3

### Run tournaments on a dedicated live clock

The tournament clock is the live view during a tournament. It displays on any tablet or TV in the room and runs locally on that device, so a brief Wi-Fi drop does not pause play. Levels, breaks, color-ups, and table balancing each take one action from the tournament director's view. Cash games keep running on their own view next door.

### Works with how your room already runs

Your regulars will always call or text the room for a game. Next Up Poker does not change that. Hosts and managers can register members, seat them, and move them through the waitlist from the admin, without the member ever touching the website.

The online view is for the players who want to check tonight's action before making the drive down. A newer player sees what cash games are running, how full the list is, and what tournaments are on the schedule. They show up because the room already looks alive. Your old-school regulars keep the habits that already work for them.

This adds to how your room runs. It does not replace the hosts who already know everyone's name.

## Who runs Next Up Poker

### No-rake membership clubs

Membership-based rooms that charge dues or per-session time instead of raking the pot. Next Up Poker tracks member status, session time to the minute, and dues renewals in one place. Exportable member lists and no proprietary data formats, so your room's data stays yours.

### Charity and social tournament rooms

Charity operators and social leagues running weekly or monthly tournament series. Build blind structures once and reuse them for every event. The live clock is reliable enough to display on the room's TVs without the Saturday-night clock-freeze story your players still remember from the last tool.

### Independent card rooms

Card rooms run by owner-operators, not corporate casino chains. The front desk, floor, and tournament director are often the same two or three people, so the interface stays out of their way. One screen for cash-game seating, one for tournaments, one for membership. Staff picks it up in a shift.

## Common questions

Is Next Up Poker for casinos or local rooms?

Next Up Poker is built for local poker rooms and social clubs: membership-based rooms, no-rake rooms, charity tournament operators, and independent commercial card rooms. If your operation runs on a small team of owner-operators, dealers, and hosts, this fits. Casino-grade platforms are built for commercial casinos with full-time compliance staff and very different operational needs.

How is this different from generic club-management platforms?

Generic club-management platforms were not built for poker. Next Up Poker handles the poker-specific operations a room actually runs: cash-game waitlists, tournament blind structures and live clocks, table balancing, re-entries, and time-charge billing. The features exist because rooms need them, not because they were translated from a different use case.

Does it handle no-rake and time-charge rooms?

Yes, that is the core fit. Next Up Poker tracks session time against your configured rates and surfaces what each player owes so staff can see at a glance who needs to be notified or charged. Collection and enforcement stay with the room. Membership-based no-rake rooms and time-charge rooms are the design center, not an edge case.

Do you offer a free trial or just a demo?

If you are interested in a trial, [contact us](/contact) to discuss options.

Can I export my player list and data if I ever switch platforms?

Member lists and player profile information export to standard CSV. Full game history is not available as a default export, since the format would not map cleanly to another platform anyway. If you need a specific data pull, [contact us](/contact).

How long does staff onboarding take?

The software itself is intuitive and easy to learn. The real adjustment is building it into your room's routine. The most common slip-up for new rooms is forgetting to start or end a game in the system, which throws off time tracking and the waitlist. Give your team a few weeks to build that muscle memory before it feels automatic.
